Paper Machine Cloth Forming Fabric/Forming Mesh

A single layer forming fabric is the least complex of the weave pattern categories and the 4, 5 shaft and 8 shaft configurations are still widely used in the paper making industry. And single layer forming fabrics are also applied in the manufacturing of multi-layer forming fabrics due to their good paper sheet forming properties.

2.5 layer forming mesh can be woven in 8, 16 or 24 shed patterns. The weave design offers a uniform distribution of fibers and provides outstanding drainage capacity as a result of high top surface open area. The large diameter of weft yarns and long crimp on machine side provides excellent wear resistance and runability. The 2.5 layer forming fabric has the features of excellent fiber support, sheet formation and high drainage.

Triple layer forming fabrics are woven in 16, 20 or 24 shed patterns. The paper side is woven in 1x1 plain weave pattern and made by fine polyester mono filament to achieve excellent paper web formation and increased fiber retention while the machine side is woven in 5 or 6 shaft with large diameter mono filaments for high wear resistance, which contributes to the outstanding drainage.
